150 Club firesuit question
« on: April 02, 2011, 12:21:41 PM »
I've got the whole thing: firesuit/nomex undies, socks, shoes, gloves, head sock, etc.  They're about 10 years old, but are in very good condition.  The firesuit has a 3.2A/1 tag on it.

If I'm reading the rules correctly, this should be adequate for the 150 Club...I hope.

I just need to clarify this to see if I need anything else.  Ohh...I also have the neck collar and a Simpson 2005 full-face helmet.

Thanks,

Steve. I won't be able to make the meeting tonite but I have a question pertaining to the 150 club. With your entry fee you get one driver to race and hopefully get in the club. OK now I want to get a second driver in the club, do I have to pay a second entry fee ? or just a membership and salt prep fee ? A little confusion on this end. thanks Gary

The second driver has to tech and pay, the car has been teched, so it doesn't take as long to tech.  But he has to have his suit and helmet checked out, switching suits and helmets is not always a good thing.  Also the club needs the fee to keep up with the expense's of putting on one of the greatest events on Salt.  8-)

Yep.  I'm gonna have a 2nd driver for my car.  He knows that he has to pay his entry fee.

I'm thinking that a 150 car pays as much as a competition car, so why does he or she have to pay another entry if they want to change drivers? On my car if I want to put another driver in it he or she only has to pay the Club dues and salt prep fee ? Why are the 150 club people charged extra.........????? Gary

Not sure what you are referring to as every event I have attended on the salt there is always a fee to change drivers even in competition classes.

Gary

A second driver is a different entry with a different number for the 150 Club The second driver/entry is charged a class change fee, $150, a course prep fee, $35 and must be a member or pay membership which is $40 before the deadline or $50 at the event. The 150 Club runs on the same course as LSR competition cars the same fee structure applies.

Sorry to be confusing, it seems that the older I get, the more I know what I'm trying to convey, and the less others understand of that conveyance.
