Yesterday at our club meeting (HDR) our prez Bruce said he was told that Connie Beavers received her liver transplant. Can any Gear Grinders confirm this? If its true I gotta tell ya,I'm one of the happiest SOB's on the planet!

The same news was presented by Prozac at the board meeting last Friday night.

I remember seeing an email from Heather Black, the GG secretary, telling members the story about Connie. Good for her -- and I hope she gets well enough to get back on her nitrous bike soon. it's fun having her chase a record that I'm seeking, too.

Oh HELL Yes! I've been staying off the phone with her 'cause she was getting tired quickly. Last time I talked to her was around New Years and she was still waiting for a donor. This is great info to start the week with! WOOHOO!

WHAT GREAT NEWS. Connie and Nick are some of my favorite people on the salt. I missed them last year. Hope to see them this year.

Talked to Connie tonight. She sounds like she was never ill,the change in her voice is that dramatic. She says she received the transplant two weeks ago and a week later they sent her home because she is doing so well. Says she getting around with a walker right now and feels wonderful. Sends everbody a big "howdy".
At this rate we might see her and Nick at the May meet!
