Not sure you folks from up north will be able to handle our lows in the mid 30's or highs in the mid 60's. Don't forget to bring your extreme weather gear.

Are you planning on working the last tent in the row?

No time to build this year. Bought a car out of Holister, CA. On a transporter should get here to Tampa. FL next week. It will be a mad thrash to move the seat, get the head restraint up to specs. A rear gear change is probalbly necessary but won't know until we see what gear is in the car now. Update fire bottles, chassis dyno to get the carbs close. Other than that...nothing to do!

Bill - call me on 910-616-6417.  I'm at the other end of the Courtney Campbell for another 10 days or so.  Love to see you and the car.

No racing for me so far as my time has been split between Momcare and shop upgrades.  Hope to get more runs in before we have to move.  But as always, I'll be there with schedule in hand.

Dan, will do. I am on the east coast this weekend. I will be back Monday morning. The Car is not here yet....Reliable Carriers says next Fri or Sat. I have a friend with a Pro Stock operation that is between sponsors. He is letting me use his shop on the west coast of Fla. Most of us can't do this alone. I have the help of some really good and knowledgable people. My Monday Morning is crazy but I will try and call in the afternoon.

This car has a story. The guy who built it wanted to go to Bonneville. He got to ElMirage but got sick and passed before he got to the Salt. I told his friend Hal, I would take the Camaro to Bonneville this year just like Mark left the car. Mark's car will get to the salt. I never met the man but it seems like the right thing to do. We will go to Maxton to see how the "D" motor runs. Come back in May to see if we can improve and then prepare for the big adventure. Well that is the plan anyway.

Bill

I'm jealous, I had that 50 Ford couple from 1956 to 1960, sold it for $400..I sure regret that. Every one I find today in decent shape costs a ton which I don't have. So I guess I can drool over yours. It looks great, hope you make it to Maxton when I am there.

I use the "WheelSmith" in CA to make my wheels... He uses steel smoothies with 360 degree welded centers and welds the Dzus tabs on for using Moon Disc's.. I also have him powedercoat them for me, but you can also save a few $ and some time by just having him primer them for you.  Remember the steel valve stems too.

Fuel tank.. just mount a 10 Gal Fuel Cell in the Trunk. (Summit or Jegs has nice steel ones with safety foam in them)  yes powedercoated red  LOL

I wish the fuel tank was an easy fix...I'm running old school Hilborn injectors, and the tank need to be in front of the pump...that;s on the front of the motor....So without having a large tank in the trunk, pumping to a very small one up front, I think I'm gonna try and fit a 3.5 gal Moon tank in front of the rad........??

Front mounted Moon tank may be your best bet,,, looks like you should have room up there.

See ya in April
