These photos are a 2 photo set consisting of one large wall size 24x36 display print of the streamliner and a smaller 8x10 photo of the car at speed.
The large display print was taken at sunset shortly after the awards ceremony, at the Mike Cook Shootout last year on the day it took the 45 year old Summers Brothers Goldenrod land speed record. It is a beautiful high quality photo of the car as the full moon rises in the background.
The second shot may be the only still photo shot in existence of the car in the traps
during its record run.
It was shot very early in the morning as the car entered the measure mile on its record return run at over 400 mph. There were only about 6 people in the spectator area plus the few people in the official timing stand that witnessed this event, making this photo a unique photo record of a historic record being set.
As mentioned above, these photos (as a two photo set) are being auctioned off as a fund raiser for the landracing.com web site in the donations thread. Bidding will end at 9:00 pm eastern time on Sunday Feb 13, with time of bid set by the time stamp on your bid posting.
The current high bid is $105 for the pair by Beairsto Racing.
