Bonneville 200 MPH club Spring Bash
« on: February 05, 2011, 01:06:39 PM »
In an effort to ease the pain of finding a location at the last minute the club board has booked the Wally Parks NHRA Museum on June 4, 2011 for the party. We wanted to set the date so that we could get on the social calendar.

This party is for members and guests and any one else interested in seeing some LSR folks and taking in the museum at the same time. We always seem to have a grand time, it is laid back nothing formal. Good friends, eats and drinks. Raffle and socializing before the hard work begins or just a break in your preparations for Speed Week.

Further details to follow. If you are so inclined please join us on June 4th.

Dan, I can get a location for the Club's annual social affair - with no problems.  I know that we could rent the "Yooper Dome", as the local university's wooden dome is known.  It's got room for thousands of people, the college has a culinary arts program to make and serve the food, and I live close enough to attend.

I'll call them today -- soon as you let me know that I should.

Seldom - Is that the same tent you guys have your Gummers Sweat Lodge Show Band Festival  each spring?  Good offer but I think Dan has it under control at this point but you never know with him -

Go to www.nmu.edu and look for the Superior Dome link.  You can also find it on a bunch of other pages.  It's the world's largest self-supporting wooden dome -- 16 stories high and a full-size football field inside, and so on.  Nicknamed the Yooper Dome -- since darn near everything up here is call "Yooper such-and-so".
