We are working on beating that sit-on Triumph record.  A few months after my 165th birthday if we proceed at our current rate.

Marby Trident  :?, photo, information please,,,,, most of my mates are Triumph people,,, because thay all know the history behind the naming of the Bonnie there is a connenction for them with LSR and this fuels their curiosity in our sport, thay are always asking me "how fast has a Triumph gone", hence this post so i can give some factual answers.
Having attended three BUB`s events i am familiar with Tom Mellors achivements,(that Trident at full speed is the sweetest noise i have ever heard :-)) ,, so any information on Triumphs in LSR would be appricated,  :-)
Yes Wobbly, i have seen you there, although havent introduced myself, will do so this year,,,  as much as i would like to be around to see that 213 pass, i dont think i will be,, LOL,,,

Mabry buit a series of turbo alky 3 cylinders.  I think the 2000cc dual engine one went over 240mph but did not back that up, but does have the record at 221. They all had the same style / look laydown frame and body work.  The last yellow one below was for the 750cc class, but never got the record.

Yes, the Mellor 3 cylinder ran some impressive mph for gasoline and carbs.

The Mabry double is a 3000cc class bike. With Jon Minnono riding it was the first sit on bike over 250mph. It currently holds the record for 3000APS/PBF at 238.740.

Jon M. set the 2000cc record on a Triumph at 221 mph back in 1991 and it still stands according to SCTA.  I thought that bike was also a double engined bike since it seems it would be difficult to build a pushrod Triumph bigger than 1650cc...and be efficient enough to set a record.

Thankyou, but no thankyou,,, one irate Kawasaki ZX12R is enough for me at the moment  :-)

Have spent the afternoon checkingout the links (and the links links), made for some very interesting reading, and was an education on the marque`s performances. The mates will be very happy when i tell them that Triumph was the first sit on bike over 250mph ,,,

There is a lot of unrealized speed in the new Hinckley Bonneville.  The turbo bike Matt Capri runs makes a lot of power.  He runs it naked.  All of my work has been with streamlining on a mildly modified street motor.  No one yet has used both, a big horsepower Hinckley twin with streamlining.
