tire spec

Im going to race my knuckle 1350cc in the M-PG class ...my front and rear wheel is 18 inch rims. my question is what kind of tyre/high speed is needed ?...Tom

The Bub website is back up so you can follow the link to download their rules. As I remember they're not real picky about tire specs. I think they say something like, appropriate tire. For SCTA you require a ZR rated tire. I don't know how fast you think you'll run but I wouldn't run anything lower than V and preferably ZR. Also, the ZR tires are actually going to be W rated.

Yes you should have at least a V speed rating on those tires.

Are you hoping to set a record or just have fun?  The current record holder was the first person who reponded to you Oly38 :)

 Hello and thanks for info ..bin there to the bub 2010 but never raced the salt. I am going there to have fun and go as i can :-) .. is the record a buell and 161.4 mph ? my plan is to drill 2 holes in the knuckleheads and put injekt on it .... salt hello from Tom

The new record is 162.194, sporty based. We plan to put 5+ mph on that this year. That old top end had a lot of time on it... :cheers:
