Ground clearance at Maxton
« on: January 20, 2011, 09:12:03 AM »

Could someone help me with a recommended minimum ground clearance (ride height) for a lakester at Maxton to avoid bottoming on rougher parts of the track?

You will need 3 plus inches...the track isn't the problem...the return road has places that dip and a long car will bottom out.

As does the dirt access road to the starting line. With the occasional mud hole.

Thanx, maybe a tow dolly that would elivate the front would help at any track?

The oil pan skid plate on my brothers camaro is right at 2" and it only drags in a couple spots on the return road. just take it very slow and you will be ok. Keith does require 2" of clearance min. for you to run down the track
