Sign up for the March Texas mile is Next Sunday 1/23/11
« on: January 16, 2011, 06:11:14 PM »
Don't forget to sign up for the March event.  We filled over 180 spots in about 30 hours last event.  Don't lose your spot because you waited around to long.  Their have been alot of changes in the registration pages.  Alot of the choices are drop down boxes now.  Take your time and work through it.  If your having trouble and can't get ahold of Jessica then please call me.  We have also added more classes.  We now have an american iron class for bikes made in the US and a European class.  This is to help get the bike count back up to where it is even with the car count.  Be on the lookout for emails from Jessica detailing the new classes.

Bill

It's crazy.

2 best hotels serving the track, the Best Western & Holiday Inn Express were booked solid at least 2 mo ago.

What the heck is going on??

Texas Mile used to be alot like Maxton, then it exploded in the last 2 years.

We've sure had some changes since Oct 2003.

January 2011 issue of Automobile magazine has a big spread on the TX Mile.

Hello Participants and Fans,

Response to online registration for the March 2011 Texas Mile was tremendous! Slots were filled in a record 4 1/2 hours! A few of you may have been unable to register before registration reached capacity and was closed. Not to worry. You will be able to sign up for the waiting list. The waiting list opens online in early February. We'll be sending a follow up email soon to let you know the exact date the waiting list opens.

How does the waiting list work?

Once registration for the waiting list opens up, you will register online. First come, first served. So, register promptly! Once you are registered for the waiting list, we recommend that you show up in person to the event weekend. Be ready to run with all the proper safety gear for your vehicle type. Be sure to check tech specs for your classification on the website. We move people from the waiting list and add them to the active participant line-up, when and if, a registered participant cannot make it to the event. We also move people from the waiting list to the active list during the event when registered participants leave early. So, even if you do not get a call before the event that you have been moved from the waiting list to the active list, you can and will still be moved to the active participant list during event weekend.

If you choose to forego the waiting list this time, we invite you come and enjoy the event as a spectator. The Texas Mile is a fun and exciting atmosphere to enjoy with family, friends and co-workers. Tickets are $15 per person and allows admission for all three days. Come and go as you like. As always, children 12 and under are admitted free! Spectators enjoy great food, custom and exotic cars, spectator-accessible pit areas, souped-up motorcycles, record-breaking attempts and conquests, and southern hospitality and comradery you can only find at The Texas Mile!

Stay in touch with us on email at info@texasmile.net, website at www.texasmile.net and Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Official-Texas-Mile/83264358164.

We hope to see you there!
