SCTA AWARDS BANQUET???????????????????????????????????????????
« on: January 06, 2011, 01:41:28 PM »
2010 was my first year running ElMo. I got an invite for the awards at the end of the month and I'm curious is it worth it for a first timer? I know I wont get any awards, but I would like to go? Is anyone else going to attend?

Lance,

Yes you should go, you get a chance to see all of your fellow racers and crew clean for a change..Michelle and I will be going for sure since I won't be traveling anywhere and as a bonus it is close to our house (2 miles)

Hope to see you there.

Only if your tie is black from wiping your hands on it!!   Dress varies.  Its up to you.  Some arrive looking "properly attired".  Others arrive like they just came off the lakebed.  But you should go.  Meet your fellow racers.
Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

Since is being held across the street from the Westminster Courts and adjacent to the Westminster Police Station I would be careful with the libations this year unless you have a DD this year......JD

Yes, Tom Evans (Chief Motorcycle Inspector) has worn one of those every time I saw him at one.

There is also an affinity for Shirts with Flames on them.
