Hey SSS, how about adding support for Tapatalk?  This is an add-on for the forum software, that makes it convenient for users with smartphones to view and post to the forum from their mobile device.  It's free for you to add it.  See the Tapatalk website for more details.

I'll wait for the members of the Forum to tell me they want a feature like this.  I'll be happy to add it -- but don't want to load up the site with more features than necessary.  It's up to you to let me know if you think it's necessary, ladies and gentlemen.

Thanks for being open to consideration.

Come on, smart phone users.  Please speak up.

When the owner of another forum I frequent first started promoting Tapatalk, I initially said "Why bother, Safari on the iPhone works pretty good."  I tried the free version of the phone app, and it does work very nicely.  I then upgraded to the paid version of the app, which was only a few dollars.

I now use the phone app way more often then even my desktop computer, it is so quick and easy to use.  It can take you right to a screen listing all of the threads that have unread posts, and then when you tap on the thread, it can scroll you right to the first unread post.

It's not just for iPhone users, it works with Android, BlackBerry, Nokia, and Windows Phone 7.

I downloaded the Tapatalk ap for my phone.  Now I'm just waiting for the couple of sites I go to to get on with it.  I have found sites supported with Tapatalk, just not the ones I regularly check in on.  Free is a good thing.

While I have made my way through LR.com easily with my iPhone I would be pleased with a mobile friendly "add on".

I spend more time on the net with my phone than I do on the PC.   Due to my smartphones, my time in Dr's waiting rooms never seems long enough (one of the few times I sit in one place for any length of time).

Thanks Bob.  Not in a big rush right now, if it gets done by this year's events on the salt, that'll be good enough for me.

Tapatalk is a really useful addition for any forum as it allows users of smartphones the ability to post pictures taken by their phone straight to the forum rather than having to sync up with their pc first.

This means that at events news with pics and video can be up there immediately.

And it is free for the forum host!

We've talked about the tapatalk app -- but I don't bother taking photos with a phone -- just use the camera.  Call me old fashioned, I guess.  But the photos I took within the past half-hour are on the site, so it'll work my old way, too.  Thanks for the support for the site.

Slim - Pretty much all of the websites I go to use the tapatalk add on, as a large majority of smart phones users find it much easier to access and use the site.
