Okay, Okay -- Chris, I'll bow to your suggestion -- now that I've given it a try "my" way.
I'll get soon around to setting up a part of the site where "small" advertisers can place their information. They can be such as race shops offering tune-ups or dyno time, folks looking for sponsors (as we've seen here in the past day or two), and small businesses that want to sell a few items - which might even be someone that came up with a bit of race stuff that will appeal to only a few racers - say, roadsters painted green and running an Ariel Square Four motor.
The section will be (unh, I dunno) maybe direct from a tab on the home page, maybe a sticky topic on the Forum, or something that Bob and I figure out. It'll be relatively easy to find -- especially since I plan to charge a small and fixed fee to place an advertisement there. I think I'll try to have it set up so that a potential poster cannot do so without going through me -- where I'll be able to extort that pound of flesh from him before the ad runs.
