Car has a v8 60 engine and is supposed to have been to Bonneville back in the 50s. It is in McMinville Ore. It was just put on.

Freshly built, I don't see anything in the description that leads me to believe otherwise.

This ad/car has been posted before. It would take a ton to make it legal. Nice collector piece though.

It states that it is a P38 tank and is 10-1/2 feet long. I thought a P38 was a little longer than that. The reason I ask is because my tank is 10-1/2 feet long and have no clue to its origin.

The rear view mirrors are a nice touch.

McMinnville is close I particularly like the 55 mph speedo to let you know when you're out-driving the limits of the suspension Mike

The first one looks like a 150 gallon tank that someone is trying to make into a quasi street rod, the second one is a "real"!!! race car. 263 in 1964 pretty serious!

That Red Lakester got my attention - that was my first year at the Salt with The Johnson-Shipley Chrysler fueler. That is Don Johnson strapping the thing on in the photos - the picture with white body shows the car with Roy Fjastads unblown Chrysler when it ran a 247 1/4 mile speed. Don got in the 2 Club in 1963 at 255 and the 263 speed was put up by Fred Murphy in 1964. Jeff Shipley made some pretty serious HP back in the day. The body was done by Jimmy Summers in 63/64. Pretty nifty stuff for a skinny, younger me, as seen in a couple of the pictures. Pat Kinne

The Chassis is a mock-up for display only "the Original Chassis was cut up in the early '80s" The Front Axle,Hair Pins & steering Box are Original to the Race Car
I wonder what a new chassis would cost??
