actualy the airplane is an XP-47H with a Chrysler experimental inverted V-16 hemi, the engine never went into production

Just saw the new Dodge ad on tv & noticed Al making a pass in betsy. For those of you that just landed on our planet in the last few years, that's Al Teague & his liner.

  Nice add but Dodge should know that Mustang's didn't have hemi's rolleyes

I think he's saying that Mustangs didn't have hemis.   afro  Apparently, though, it's a P-47 and not a P-51.

Just a guess - maybe he's trying to say "SHOGUN", which was what the early Ford overhead cam V-6's (late 1980s) were called, but shortened to "SHO" on the badging all around the car.  I think the "sho" designation is still being used.

I think you'll also find that the plane is a P-39 aerocobra built by Bell. Still used an Allison engine....

  Play..waiting on further review grin

I always thought it stood for Super High Output.
