Depends on the type of system you have.
If you have "cold fire" liquid/foam type system aim it at the driver BUT not at his face/visor. The foam will help cool the drivers body & suppress the fire but you don't want to obstruct the drivers vision with foam.
If using halon or that type of system aim towards the driver & area around him.
One note, Halon, Co2, and some other types of fire suppression systems REMOVE oxygen from the air to smother the fire. This also removes the breathing air from your driver, especially in a closed cockpit. Use caution.
