4 hours should do it. I have gone back to correct things, who doesn't. Sometimes an hour later a light bulb goes off and I go back and add some brilliant thing or two.

After 4 hours you can just add another post.

After 4 hours if you REALLY regret saying something then just use whiteout on the screen.

Well, well -- we're at thirty six voters already.  It's bedtime for Nancy and me -- so in the morning I'll announce the results and make some comments upon which you can make some comments.

Temple's "Got'Cha"

I voted for 12 hours, for those that still work and have no access to a computer at work, like a construction worker. Not all have office jobs, Ipods, etc.

Logged

"Got'Cha" was first run in 1974. Bill Temple entered both 2 clubs in 1976 with records in AA/BGR. At El Mirage 201.79 and Bonneville at 220.

In 1977 Greg Temple started driving "Got'Cha" and entered the El Mirage Dirty 2 club in 1979 @ 201.97. Greg went on to set two records at Bonneville, one in 1981 at 241.848, then in 1991 he set another record at 262.230

Bill and Greg were the first father and son to enter the El Mirage Dirty 2 club. They broke the D/BFR at Bonneville in 1981 @ 241 with top speed of 249. This record still stands today. In 1991 they set the A/BFR @ 262 which was later broke by Duane McKinney.

As long as we are just playing anyway, I have an issue with the cuss filter..... I have let go on for a almost 4 years now, but Tom's post just dragged it into my mind again...  undecided

Here are the totals, and by the way -- I've just locked the poll - no more voting.

To allow no edits whatever:    1
To allow 4 hours to edit:       24
To allow 12 hours to edit:       8
To allow 24 hours to edit:       8
To allow perpetual editing:     9

It looks to be the large plurality to set the edit timer to allow posts to be edited up to four hours after posting.  I'll make the change now.  Thanks for your participation, all 50 if you.  And thanks for staying tuned here - to landracing.com.

SSS,
In the "wanted / for sale" threads, it would be convenient if there was still a way of indicating when an item is no longer wanted or has been sold in the subject line.

Just a thought, Don

Jee-zul-man, Steve -- Stainless asked and I did.  No big deal - and then you come along and goof up the works.

As for a way to say "no longer for sale" or "no longer wanted" -- I'll think on it, especially now that we've set that 4-hour editing limit in stone.  Of course -- I expect that there are MANY instances when the seller or wanter/buyer gets his part of the deal completed - and forgets to remove the topic (or even forgets to ask me to do that).  Think of it like those "Vote for Mr. Blah-Blah" election sugns that don't get removed after election day.

Did the word filter attack my post?Huh? You cannot even say W-O-R-K anymore, and it inserts Goof-Off.  LOL. LOL. My post was fine when I last looked at it last night. What happened?

Tom G.

PS. Slim, to throw a wrench in the Poll, it was 25 votes for 4 hours or less, and 25 votes for 12 hours or more. LOL. How do you say compromise. LOL. I am fine with the 4 hours, just had to have some fun. Thanks.
