This is a pedal I bought at a nascar auction a while back. I have never seen another one like it and can't find anyone, anywhere who may have made this. I have it listed on my ebay store for kind of a high price because I will just use it on my own car if I can't sell it for that.
So. Anyone know where this came from? It really is a trick piece

I visited the Kennedy Space Center and I remember that pedal. It was on the Space Shuttle and I asked about the price and was floored to find it  was more then those $10,000 toilet seats the Air Force bought back in the day. Your given it away for $500. If the farm sells I'll snap it up. :-D

That looks like it was made in house by on of the teams.  Those cams are track specific and most likely fitted to a particular driver and his style of driving. My guess is the cams are for  short track, intermediate track and super speedway. We built something similar when we ran IMSA and it worked great in sprint races with one driver, but on the endurance races with multiple drivers it was a pain and we eventually went back to the old setup.  Nice piece and a fraction of what it would cost to make.  Tony

Yeah that is what I think too. All the pieces even have part numbers. It came from Bill Davis racing, when they sold out their shop last year. They didn't have any CNC machines at the sale but maybe they sold them separate from the auction.

Looks like a nice piece, I guess it is worth what someone would pay or offer..
