1972 Bonneville National Member decal
« on: November 22, 2010, 05:55:14 PM »
looking for a 1972 Bonneville Nationals Inc. Member Decal, this is a water decal and they were made by McMullen Advertising of Los Angeles
The decal is dark blue with a red streamliner type of car in the middle and white letters. I am restoring a car that I drove to Bonneville in 1972 and the orginal decals are just faded away to nothing. Anyone have one to donate or for sale?

I were there!  But I can't help you.  I was a crew member on a 55 Chevy BelAir Wagon with a 390 Cad in it we drove from Southern California.  They used to give a trophy for the fastest car that legitmately drove there.  I think we won it at 149.xxx.  what'd you do?

The one I've got is stuck to the window of my sedan.  I can photograph it for you if that would be any help.

I SECOND the name  Don Pennington

He has done the new water transfer decals, a left and a right, for Treit's streamliner.

These are originals.

He can dupe anything, if u are satisfied with a dupe.

If you need a new original decal for any project at least give him a shot at it.

He has lived the life since the beginning and he has the feel in is bones and the ability in his brush.

If he doesn't reply immediately he may be at his proctologists office having his prostate reamed.

Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

mcdonas: don't you need and "inspected" decal if your restoring the car? I have everything from 1975 on when I went but the 75, 76, & 77 inspected decals are on the rightside windshield of my 40 coupe (probably worth more than the car).

I now place the inspected decals on a duezed in plate in the roadster and when it gets full I make another one so I can keep the decals...............Good Luck
