I delayed committing funds for a week due to the potential for the gov't closure.  While I am glad wearen't shutting down next week, the ext of two weeks doesn't exactly free me of concern.  I have only taken 2 hours off since Thanksgiving so I definitely plan on being there but I may end up in the spectator/volunteer lineup versus running.  Just not sure yet.  If conditions look excellent I may end up bringing the 500 to try and bump its reord to get one in the book at Maxton with my new team name.  The Duc has no shot at anything there.

The new bodywork definitely won't be ready for the spring events but if I get my electrical problem resolved I will run the duc with either a upper or naked.  I haven't run over 75 on a unfaired bike so I am tempted to go that route for the experience.  If the electric problem is unresolved the 500 will likely make a reappearance.

I am getting there. I do everything myself mostly because I can't afford to pay someone else .and because I like to do things. But I had a couple things I can't handle. So I am having others do the work. Is it me or is it normal for people to say it will take two weeks to do smathing and then having it take two months?  The thing is I knew it would take two months.so it is no big deal.
Thank you to all the volunteers

No, I don't think it's normal for someone to say two weeks and have it take two months.  I'd say "normal" procedure is to say two weeks -- and have it take at least FOUR months :-D.

Eric,, yes it takes much longer to do Smathing  than something,,, for some reason it just does.

Unless it's me,, If I tell you two weeks,, it means 10 days...(but of course,, that is from the start date,, LOL)

See you in 3 weeks.

It could be worse Eric.. The taxidermy on my wife's 40lb. bobcat (taken with a '97 Toyota Camry) was going to be 6 months. Eighteen months later we had it. Leslie was a bit disapointed that she couldn't get Hello Kitty, but the work was amazing.

I am not complaining .I allow for this sort of thing. But I can't imagine having to have everything done by different company's and people. I guess that is why bigtime records are so hard to get.
