There is a nice write up of Rex Shimmers 29 modified in the latest issue of Rod&Custom magazine, Jan 2011 edition.. Some good pics of Rex's skills in metal work!!!! Also another SCTA-BNI racer, Dick Martin is a contributing writer for R&C and has been writing a series of articles on pioneers and greats of the landracing, drag racing, the guys that made a difference in the sport, has a nice article on Tom Medley, ie; Stroker McGurk fame..  Mike R.

Rex, that is a very nice car.  It sure is a minimalist approach.  There is absolutely nothing on that car that is not needed.  An interesting mix, too.  Model T rear springs with a magnesium cased differential.
