"If I were to run as a guest would this qualify as a rookie pass even if I am not in a club yet? "

Nathan Stewart could probably make a call on this. He is usually lurking around here somewhere. Be nice to him - he will be your Rookie Supervisor.

Failing that, I'll get an answer for you tomorrow.

Tom,
As previously stated you can run two meets a season as a guest. With guest status, you can attend Rookie Orientation, make a rookie pass and license. However you cannot accumulate points and cannot set records.

Scream if you need anything else.

Miriam,

Earlier Paula posted on FB the November meet is done/canceled...can you confirm?

If so congrats to you for the SCTA car points championship (and high points earner) and to Dave for his bike points championship as well

John

Thanks for the information Miriam. I was aware of the Guest entry, but was unaware they could get an SCTA License without being a SCTA member.(I thought Guest speeds were limited to 125mph but could not find that anywhere)

That just seems strange to me. I guess what I am getting at is if a guest ran twice a year in a pretty fast car or bike they could have an A license yet not belong to a club. I don't like the liability with something like that.

Thanks again,

Tom G.

Tom,
I asked about that too. Apparently a guest pass is around $200 per meet (don't quite me on the $$ amount, but around there somewhere) and a season pass for club members is $220. The $$ difference covers the insurance for the guest and the fact that the club member pulls duties etc..

P.S. Yes the meet is cancelled. Don't forget the Safety Seminar
