On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime.  His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.

Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.

Joe made a test pass and didn't like what he felt. Motor package there is nothing wrong with it.... He is going to to motel to make some adjustments to body, suspension and tires, if it dont feel good at 200 it isnt going to get any better at 280+... Look for him back in the morning - or around noon by the looks of impound....
What changes do you make with so many variables - and limited time..... Going to plan B...

Erin's leaving the line right now.  Andy just ran -- no announced speed.  I ride Erin's bike next.  Joe Amo has apparently left the salt.  Jeannie Pflum put .003 on Andy's record this morning, but is in imound with a 198 (on the new 196.2) record.

We're on the #2 course -- the only vehicle in line!

6 -8 in the #1 course line.

Thats because everyone is in impound.

Take the fairies off and narrow it down to tires or set-up.

We're back at the pit -- and Kurt, the guy that was babysitting the audio link, isn't here (he was doing it from this pit last I saw).

I gotta explain that I may well be wrong about what I posted on the P/P 1000 record, record qualifiers, and so on.  I'm getting my information from the radio announcer -- and he's been cornfusing.  He's telling us that Cathy Pflum is on the bike, and then that Jeannie is running on a 176 record, and I don't think that's right. I corrected him on Jeannie's and Cathy's (Butler, I presume) names -- let's see what else I can find.

All I can beg is for you to wait for the download later today.  We're in the pit to fuel the bike, then going out so I can make a run.

As we drove past we saw the 66 car -- Fogie -- going into impound.  OH, and the Ferrari is there, too.  Had one hellacious run (finally) -- did I hear 250-something?

Ah-HA!  I just talked with Jeannie.  She's in impound at 196.6 on the 196.117 record.  Take it right from the rider's mouth.  Congratulations - and thanks for straightening out the cornfusion.

Boyoboy, it's crowded in impound.  Return runs start at 8, not seven (still dark 'til about 7.30, at least).  With all of these vehicles -- it's gonna take about an and maybe more to run 'em all in the morning.  If you're just making qualifying passes tomorrow -- sleep in - you've got plenty of time to chill before it's your turn.

Awesome! Thanks for the update Slim!
Kurt is supposed to be headed to the pit to check on audio.
Well again congrats to Jeannie and give my sugar daddy Fogie a big kiss from me!  grin

How was Andy's last run?

Have fun & be safe Jon!

Does anybody know what Aaron Wilson qualified with? Bike 1987, 1650 A-PF. I believe he went 194 naked at Bub's.
