On 9-27-08 we lost a great friend and fellow racer, he was the BEST, he helped anyone with anything at anytime.  His name is Dave Owen and he will be missed by all that knew him and I am glad to have met him.

Seeing him at Bonneville during 2008 Speedweek was the tops, Dave was in awe of the salt and as usual was there helping out anyone who asked..simply put we lost a great man who will be missed by all.

Since SSS is goin for a little joyride, I'll post a few more photos from impound, cars this time.  Btw, that little issue with wet stuff fallin from the sky seems to have stopped after just a little of the stuff hit the ground.  However, I've got my eye on the wunderground radar and it looks kinda iffy.  But the cool temps and high humidity are just right for makin a lotta power.  No wonder impound is overflowin.

Here are the photos without comment.

The LSR tires on Amos bike is most likely the issue, he has no rake on the bike and this is probably the reason other bikes (Harleys) are running them and not having a problem..hopefully he will go back to the parking lot and install his other rims with SCTA approved racing tires and reset the suspension up and give it another go..

The weather is goig away fast -- wind is way up and the rain is in town and headed this way.

The Mormon Missile is on the line.  I'll hang around here 'til he makes a run.  The driver's already in it -- and as we passed earlier I'm pretty sure I saw it was Lynn Goodfellow suiting up.

Seth Hammond car just pulled up behind us -- about four vehicles until he can run.

Tailwind is strong right now -- might be a good time to run.  Sure hope MMissile gets going before the course is shut down for weather.

Post and reset.

Good -- I heard the Duramax fire up.  Canopy is down on the MM.  Moving out from the line.

Engine off, and they're pushing off the course.  Maybe the wind has put racing on hold?

I heard he is/was running race slicks, michilen I think.  No problems with thous SCTA 200-265 tires.

Timing slip stand isn't running right now -- can't get mine, much less his.  No word on the radio -- hearing nothing but Norman Greebaum.
