So, we wound up leaving the race car at home and traveling to WoS without the car.  Our old dually could not do the job, and we were afraid our 04 Yukon would not stand the strain. We  have solved the towing problem with an 06 F350 Diesel.

But now I am looking at my trailer, and wondering about it. It is an 04 Haulmark, tag says 10k GVW.  My camaro weighs 3900, and I think the trailer is setting pretty low. It has torsion type suspension. There is not much more huh than 1.5" above the tires to the fender well. I know the trailer had a hard life before I got it, but it seems to me it shouldn't be setting that low.  Opinons???

If your trailer has the Torflex axles made by Dexter it is pretty straight forward to figure how much room you need for wheel/tire travel. http://www.dexteraxle.com/torflex_axles Go to the web page and click on "Torflex Specifications". Your axles should have a tag on them to identify the rated capacity. Use that info plus the chart on the web page to see if you are good to go.
It is possible they have lost some of their "spring". If this is the case you can easily replace them with new axles.

When I bought my trailer with Dexter axles the only thing they said to be aware of was not to store stuff in the trailer up close to gross weight for extended amounts of time it will make them take a set.

The trailer for the 222 car is a 24 ft 02 haulmark with the torsion axels and 10000 GVW.
After reading the above I checked the clearance   31/4 in except the left rear is only 23/4
271/2 in tires the camaro weighs about 4800 and we have a 7000 wt generator and air compressor
and suit cases in there when we go to Bville.
Sounds like somethings wrong or you have big tires.

the tires are just standard 225's. I am thinking it shouldn't be this low.

The axle site mentioned low profile, you should call.

I called a dealer for Dexter.  They said to try to get specs from Haulmark.  Can't get Haulmark to answer the phone or call me back.  Dexter dealer said unless I could find serial number or specs from Haulmark, that it would be a special build, and if there was afit problem, I was stuck with it.  So, a little homework is in order first.
