Winds are dead calm on the entire length of the international race course here at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Wendover, Utah, USA.  Rocky is about to get in the bike.  this is goona be something -- no matter what happens.

I hope you're all sending the best thoughts you can his way -- I know that those of us here at the track are.

Rocky is ready to go -- dressed and in the bike.

Engine is running, canopy is closed.

texican...do you realize the "hottest" air is the thinnest (BEST aero) air...

they picked the best time of the day to run.....they carry their
own atmospheric air for the engine...boost...

Good point, well stated.
I'm still old school and thinking N/A...sorry 'bout that.

Bike is under way.  Started well back, before the zero, even.  There's been discussion on how muddy it is in case he needs the low speed skids on the start.

Through the one mile, by the two

SSS, You should have Loctite sponsor your site with a banner ad..........I have been looking at the Speedway ad all week and with a TON of page views I bet you could get some of the guys some sponsor numbers.

Thanks to everyone for the updates this past week..........Dumb question, but would an iPad make it easier for you and Ray to post updates? If so, I bet that a BUNCH of guys on here would make a donation to a iPad fund.

Thanks,

That's pretty much up to the folks on the scene;
there were runs after 19:00 hrs in the middle of the week. (7:00 PM for civilians).

They've got about an hour and 55 minutes left in the 2 hour window.  That is -- for bikes the two runs for a record must be back-to-back, so if they don't like runs #1 & 2 they can throw out #1 and use #2 and the new #1.  So in other words -- 1 &2 or 2 & 3 or 3 & 4, etc.  The 2-hour window resets each time.  No problemo -- and I can assure you that being this close -- they're going to make another run.  Fuel, ice, maybe a latte for Rocky -- then back in the bike and give 'er once again.
