Spectre is going down the course. Bouncing a lot in the dirt here -- up, spin the tires and hit the ground, spin, repeat over and over. Still doing the bouncing through the two mile.
Through the three.
Entry 398 kilo 407 mile 406 exit 414
Pretty close to the first run, hey?

Jon, regarding SD. Are they injecting a small percentage of fuel into the plenum as well as the runners or is it all going into the individual runners?

Question about the "salt". All of the pics show a non-white, dirty color, not typical of speed week. Is the course in a completely different location or has the salt degraded substantially since SW?

Here are the numbers again. Let's then see if he's qualified for a record. I don't think so -- but don't know the record he's running on. Driver is out of the car and it's come to a halt.
entry 398.7 mile 406.8 kilo 407.0 exit 414.4
Good =-- but probably not good enough for a record.
Camaro is next, then the two bikes, then the lawnmower wants to make a run.

The course is the international course and is between the SW courses and starts at the highway.

Woody, Thanks for posting the tire growth chart. Much appreciated. Tom G. Ditto for me, Woody. I have been looking a long time for that information. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you posting it.

Turn around and go again! Is there another .5 mile out there to back up and start from?

Ya, that 1% rule is lame man. He went faster than the record, that should be the new record.

The salt at either end of the course is better described as salty dirt -- maybe a more charitable way of stating it would be dirty salt. But it sure isn't something I'd put on my steak. The course is pretty good in the center area -- but the first mile or two in either direction is cruddy at best. This is the old "international" course -- starting about 200 yards from the freeway a couple of miles up from the truck stop -- maybe about mile marker 7 on I-80. The course runs pretty much north-south. The BNI course crosses the international a few miles up from here. To describe it better -- if Nancy and I were to leave this end and drive the course we'd intersect the BNI course, running from it's start line and coming up to us from behind and crossing over ahead and to the right. The salt there is pretty white.
But there's no question -- you ALL need to write your congressman/senator to ask about the deterioration of the salt, the mining permits, and the way our precious natural resource is being sold. It's going away and there's no question about it. Okay, there's my soapbox rant for now.

Looks like that manifold needed ribs on the out side like a blower case to stop the expansion.
The expansion was caused by a backfire. They think maybe a broken rocker arm.... Slim scooped me on the photos, but this is what I got
