Nish team is still working on the car in the pits.  They're starting to run short on minutes -- thinking that it takes them more than just a few to get the car rolling once they're in position.  They are informed about the time on a regular basis by Cook -- he's in their pit and keeping in touch with the tower (wherein resides the clock).

Good -- they just fired the engine.  Ah, that's good to hear.

The Spectre car ate a turbo on that last run -- not sure why, they report, but they're going to switch it out for oneof the spares.  Dang -- this event might set a record for the number of hurt turbochargers.

Time to lock down - Nish car is still in the pit but dang close ready to move.  Engine is running again.  Sounds to me that they're having trouble getting it to stay running - stay tuned.

It's getting exciting -- the car is still in the pit.  There's only 11 minutes remaining in the time window, and timing tower just reminded everyone that the car must trip the EXIT clock before the end of the one hour period.  Remember when the Thrust car made the speeds -- but was about one minute late and so missed backing up the record?  Same kind of thing here.

Speed Demon will run in the morning.

Nish is powering through the turnaround and will pass us in a few seconds.  This is Frickin' GREAT STUFF!!

Motor died on the turnaround, the push truck shoved him and he bumped it going, then never got touchedby the push truck again -- it just escorted him for a ffew hundred feet as he rolled into it.

I agree as well Rat for both of you guys. It's not easy being everywhere and digging for info. Most off the racers are really cool about talking about their vehicles

No, not over.  The fire truck has a flat tire. SSS just headed out that way with an impact wrench and sockets.  The bike is still gonna run.  I just barely heard that the fire truck is "back up and running."  Musta been a NASCAR style pit stop.

Bike is ready to run.
