Broke it...?

According to the reports I got, yes.  There was a puff of smoke and they said, "It broke."

Amir WAS grinning from ear to ear during the turnaround.  And for what it's worth, gettin 4 cars over 400 in 4 days is frikkin ossum!!!  I really feel bad for those who broke stuff...especially Jet Bike Mike.  But....that's racin'.

And don't forget this is only the second meet with Amir driving. The car has only been to three meets since its complete rebuild. Nothing to be ashamed of, still remarkable!

The Nish car is about to make a run from the mountain end to the pits.  We're locked down, waiting for Mike to get into the car.

I'll ask about gearing and such in the Speed Demon -- when the dust has settled later on.

Okay, back to the Nish car.  The engine is running, the car is moving.

Through the zero, off the push truck.

Through the one mile

By the two, coming fast says the course worker.

By the three and gaining speed.   By the four, by the five, through the five,

entry speed 304   kilo   308   exit speed 311

I think the Spectre car gets the record for the fastest cast crank. I never thought one would go over 400. They have some great tuners on that car.

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

Asking questions is one's only way of getting answers.

The rational person lets verified facts form or modify his opinion.  The ideologue ignores verified facts which don't fit his preconceived opinions.

Entry   304.9   kilo  308   mile  308  exit 311

Car is in the pit,  engine off, all looks good so far.  I'm sure they'll try a turnaround -- those numbers were good enough that if they can do 'em again -- they'll bump their record if they can make a pair of them.

Scott is out there on the course and is about to make a run -- engine was running, stalled, trying to restart.

Engine running, bike is moving.  Through the three mile.  He's on the turbo 'Busa with bodywork.

Entry speed  228   kilo   223  exit 222

Nish is still working on the car - has about a half-hour left in the window.  Will give you specifics soon.
