Jon and thanks, it's not a problem I will need to add a new shelf just for cups before long. See you Sunday at the salt. BTW, did you get any more orders for name badges? Hope so as they are neat.As always a hug for Nancy.

Hey Jr.,

entry - 104.418
kilo - 104.467
mile - 104.500
exit - 104.689

Couldn't get over 102 until I shut off the air-conditioner at the 4 1/2.  :?

The best thing was the fact that my race machine AND the lawnmower
both went faster than your Dad's dually. Ha  :-D

See ya next year

A huge thank you to Mike Cook and this team for coordinating such a great event.
A huge thank you to SSS for letting us link to this great site (and hopefully sending some new fans in this direction) from our Facebook page.

We had a great time at the event and are hoping to see you all back out on the salt next year!

Brian

Yeah, Brian -- what Dan said.  It was fun, having the challenge laid down by youse guys -- for me to get more and better and faster stuff out to the public during the Shootout.  Thanks for the goodies, too -- although I didn't get a very big inventory.

When will you be out there again?  And finally, shall I sign you up as an advertiser?  This site doesn't run many ads, and prefers to advertise only for companies that have proven their interest in land speed racing.  You've now passed that barrier.

Finally -- the cost of advertising here is low.  Get in touch with me by either PM or email.

Thanks again (and you're welcome for us letting you ride our pit bike).

For anyone interested, this month's SALT ADDICTION is a bit personal for me because its about the Shootout and the Top 1 Ack Attack's trials and errors and eventual success. I hope you enjoy.

Rocky,

Again another well written story. This time so very personal. I feel humbled and honored to have been a small part of history at the salt flats.

Does anyone have the exact speeds for all runs, particularly the top speeds for each vehicle?  I'm putting something together and I'd really like to get the speeds exact.

Thanks,

I was going to send the email address of Chronologic Timing -- the Rice Brothers -- but don't have it here at the store's computer.  Maybe I've got it at home.  I'd think that they'd be a good place to look.  I doubt that Dan Warner has the information.  Mike Cook MIGHT have it -- roadster589 (at) yahoo.com (Mike Cook).

Best wishes on a sunny but cool Tuesday.

Yeah...the Rice brothers would probably be the best source...I don't have their contact info, either.

Sparky,

Lynn Goodfellow and I went to our 50th in May. We discovered that all those hot(didn't use that word then) girls are now 68. We didn't notice any difference with us though.

BTW, we went with our respective wives, not together. I was afraid this thread would hit the joke thread if I didn't clarify.

That did the trick, man.  James answered the phone, had the file with the speeds open on his computer and was able to read 'em off to me within a coupla minutes.  The longest part was for me to find Spectre's car number and all that entailed was opening the directory with its photos.  Ya done GOOD!
