September Volunteers
« on: September 17, 2010, 08:50:12 PM »
I just got back from a month in Florida providing care for my Mom.  This puts me a bit behind on my volunteer coordinator duties.  It would be a MAJOR help if anyone wanting to volunteer will contact me. either thru here or at Stokes_Dan@yahoo.com.  Please do so ASAP so I can make the schedule and get with Tonya for rooms, etc.

Thanks
Dan

Sorry we won't be there, Dan, but we'll still be in Utah -- finishing up our coverage of the Shootout.  We'll attend Maxton in October, though -- put us down for the usual stuff then.

Good luck to all the September Maxton racers.

Of course (pun or not) I will be there. May not get there until Saturday early if nothing else. Just wish it will be as nice as the weather these past two weeks.

All summer we have had weed wacker replacement heads on order...well, they are still on order. I guess China only makes these parts for spring time. ECTA needs help to clear the "Summer Growth" from the track. If you could bring your weed wacker Friday and help trim the place up, it would be helpful!!!
Thanks,
joe

Cool!  Are you doing bike inspection?  I know they need help as Jon and Nancy are still in Utah.  How does the bride feel about Timeslips?  Greta will be there on Sat but w/o relief (it's good to have someone to switch with at any of the stations) and we don't have her for Sunday so your bride will be a big help.

I'm doing a brainfart - can't remember your wife's name, which I'll need to put her in the schedule.

Thanks
Dan

Dan, It looks like I might get down Friday afternoon's working a half day. I'm hoping Deb will get a chance to take my bike down the track a couple of times, but I'm not planning on running it (I'll have my gear in case somebody forgets something). Put me where you need me as long it's at the track.

Not by much.  Low to Mid 90s near record highs.  Bring lots of water folks.   2010, the summer than never ends.

Weather report here in Wilmington is lower 80's inland (the coast is always lower by a degree or two) with little chance of rain.  I hope that holds!  We need the rain - but on Monday, if you don't mind.  I'm bringing water, anyhow.

Yeah Dan, please put me near a cb radio so I can hear the Triumph's times - oh, that's right, I can wait for the sonic boom. Never mind.
