Anyone seen Avanti Dan in his Yellow and Purple Bucket List Avanti? Did he make his Rookie pass this morning?

He did make his rookie pass at 121 mph or so.  He has a fuel problem and needs a different fuel pump an regulator.

He what is almost stock engine and a non stock blower.  He had plans for a much better engine but they didn't work out in the time frame he had.  If he can beg or borrow a different pump and regulator he may be able to go high 140's or low 150's.  His main obective was to get a ride down the salt.

Thanks 64avanti.  I've been following his story on racing studes forum and posted a couple stories on MyRideisMe.com about him.  I saw from saltflats.com that he ran yesterday, but only went 115 or so.  Bummer!  But hey, he made it on the Salt.  Hopefully you guys can find a pump to go faster.

I am not there but her is the latest that I know.  They got a new fuel pump and regulator so with some luck the should be able to 20 or 30 mph faster.

Looks like he went 149, had to get out of it because of the license he has.

Wow, great paint job.  It was a pleasure having Dan and his crew go through my Rookie Orientation earlier this year at El Mirage.  Great folks.  Best of luck to Dan.  Go get em!
