Mark & his lady Laura getting ready to make history. 252.419 MPH all motor.
A team effort with Steve Knecum the man who makes it happen. The engine has not been out of the bike in two years but I think the rust is gone from the valve seats.lol. The starter froze on the dyno last week so Steve is using the great white dyno today. It is for just such moments that we live, the feeling is worth the effort. Big congrats to Jack Broomall, new 2-club member at 201 naked. What a morning, Thank You all.     Larry

Quick update.  Gotta buncha shots of record returns from the correctly lighted side of the track.  But.  I gotta go enter myself in the 130 club and do tech.  I'm gonna be off the air for a little bit.

Ray, the most frequent f_uck up for a newbie is your foot shaking on the clutch.

Just call it, "Buck Fever."

Ah, well, it's not a "front of the line" thing -- just some slow starting -- and lots of chatting.

So -- thanks everyone for the reports and news.  John Rank is next on line in the Salty Dog modified roadster.  Switched off at about the three with a 245 mph speed.

In the meantime, Dean is in impound, has been reported, putting a new tire on the rear.  The first one got pretty well shredded during his run that put him in impound.  He's got spares with him.  No, I don't know what brand or type tire he hurt.

I see the Vesco liner in the pit.  I know it ran earlier -- didn't hear speeds.  Nobody at the line had a radio and the speakers aren't placed near enough.

I'm going to read through the posts again, see what the questions are, and then get some answers and maybe some speeds and post 'em.  See you in a little while.

C/GL running on a 273.4 record now.  It's the Ravenna Garage Racing car.  Off the line, sounding decent.  No speeds -- don't know what happened.  Unh, now I'm hearing that the driver is out of the car and is okay.  Didn't hear a report on why he turned out/quit the run.

Remember they're running one course -- short course/one fifty club on the left at the start, long course on the right side.

I'll post and get back to you in a minute.
