I thought for sure there was going to be a sidecar joke in there somewhere... But, they don't usually use brass monkeys.

Kent, take a cool drink and relax.  The electric liner is back in the pits for a few upgrades to minor little points -- and then, according to the inspector, once those are done, the bike will be allowed to make a limited-speed pass or two before starting licensing passes.  I think that's what I was told.  Basically -- the 'liner is pretty close to okay, but some things needed a bit of touching-up.

Other stuff -- we've got long waiting lines at this event.  I know some folks have been in line for four hours and more -- so that's one reason I haven't given much in the way of updates.  I'll get the next batch of photos up later on.

Robbie Cohn hurt a tire in that spin earlier today -- is on the 1610 AM radio looking for a replacement.  Maybe someone will see this note and help out.

Max Lambky's bike is ready to run -- but Max said he'd be waiting for less wind.  It's still brisk -- maybe 5-8 mph cross track.

Post.

Charles Nearburg in the 1122 Spirit of Rett just ran a 320 or so.  He's here for some test and tune time new bodywork.  Will be running at the Shootout next week.

Next up is Debbie Dross on the 1440 Sabatinelli bike.  Let's see what she can do on the 208 record -- Dean's, I think.  She's off the line.  1000 cc blown naked Kawasaki.

Quarter speed is 135.884 , slowing at the three mile.

No idea how much longer we'll be running tonight -- it's nearly quitting time (according to the written signs - we'll see what Jim Burkdoll says now).

Chris was just here with Kate -- and tells us the Midget should be ready to run in the morning.  That what you wanted to know?

Ok.  Runnin around like a chicken without a head, I managed to get a few fotos.

First, is "our" race truck.

Then there's the Salt Cat Jag in impound with what they're calling a front porch, but I insist it's an air dammit.

Then I ran into some unsavory characters: Dickie Milne, Marlo Treit and Korey Bligh.  They tell me they're just slumming, but I think they got something up their sleeve.  If ya don't know 'em, go here:
http://target550.com

And then there's the JAZ Sidewinder liner...the crew tell me that they have a lotta problems fixed and it otta really work.

Now I gotta put on my racer/crew/whatever hat and get the pit area workin for the race truck.
