Oh, the Vesco car.  Yes, it's in impound, but pulled in as we were driving out.  I don't have their speed.  Will get it soon.

As for the Forstall/Knecum/DeLuca bike -- the motor was based on a 'Busa built big -- about 1675 or so cc.

You want me to guess -- or to ask him when we see him-- about an hour from now?

Freud, Josh says XL, please.

And on to records.  Here's the next-to-last batch of record speeds.  Skip Hedrich has yet to run -- and his run will be in a few minutes and also the last run of the event.

Bike 3415  A/PS/PF 100   John Levie/Scott Guthrie Racing      52.163   52.629   52.396

Bike 3416   M/PG  50    John LeVie/Scott Guthrie Racing    57.915   57.629   57.772

745  E/CBFALT  Ragsdale Racing  John Huard      215.716   200.628   208.172

Bike 3371   A/PS/BF 750   Watters & Higgins -- Fireman Jim riding  223.846   225.043   224.444

1933   U/HH2   Ye Olde Dragon   192.124   193.678  192.901

I'll click to post and then keep entering the runs.

9996   Salt Cat Racing    XXO/BGC    183.236   184.019   183.627

Bike 9391    (Crap - didn't write down the class)  Jeff Bailey and his Speed Shop   174.943  177.600  176.271

That's all I've got now.  I'm waiting for Skip to make that run -- and then it'll be over for another year.  I'll be back in a few minutes.

And it's a big anti-climax -- because Skip pulled the chute about the 1 1/2.  That's it -- World of Speed 2010 is over.  Thanks for reading along.  I'll no doubt get some more of this-n-that during the next few hours and days, but for now -- I'm done.  C U Later.

Did the chute come out?

Many times it hasn't.

Yes -- I knew the run was over 'cause I saw the chute flying in the breeze behind the car.  The fun is done for now.

Well, most of it -- the S1000 BMW is being scotch taped and baling wired together so it can be ridden home.  It turns out that BMW does not print a shop manual -- only on-line.  That might be fine in a nice shop, but Debbie's been working with the laptop out in the sun (well, under our easy-up) to try to give the guys the requested information.  But it's back together now.

Almost.
