Slim and Crew. I'm sorry to hear that your engine decided to cut itself.

Try as you may, the SALT Devil took a bite out of you this time.

Never get complacent.

Nancy, you will achieve it yet.  Stay strong, all of you.

Anybody who thinks they have had a tough life needs to meet Robby, it will change your view on your own woes..................  Bob

Amen...Robbie has had 40 major surgeries in is 40 years on this earth and he is a great guy once you get to know him.

They have two new tires coming in tomorrow and will make a few passes trying for the record...

Robbie said that he looked at the in car video and he spun the car before the lights and still went through at 240+ spinning.. :-o

Well, those itinerant guys knew what they were talkin about.  I made another run (it's really strange to be in the position of "driver" and be chauffeured by Marlo Treit..and hear "we need the driver now.") and with the aero help we got, I ran MUCH better until the top speed governor kicked in at 100 mph.  I drove the last .3 mile on the governor.  Now we gotta find out how to disable that.

In the meantime, I'll edit some fotos and post 'em.

I'm havin the frikkin time of my life. :) :) :)

Not to criticize Robby or Ron, but why would anyone tow all the way to the salt with one set of wheels and tires?  And to lose a record run really hurts.
Hopefully they find one and get the chance to nail it.

The suspense is driving us nuts.  Sure hope there are some good runs tomorrow. Don't they announce the times on a CB as well as their PA system.

Lets face it. We have been spoiled by past presentations.

The answer to impatience is ....Just Go There.  Of course we still miss part of it at the time it happens.

Reporting this, or any event, is a lot tougher than us reading the posts.

Time for us to Chill Out.

Rat S. Therat is now a racer, not a reporter. Have a new form of fun, Ray.

Don't worry about us. Drive it like u stole it.

I'm chilled, just looking at yesterdays run list and see a lot of good cars entered and the runs they made. Like all others we wonder if they are broke or not, Vesco still has a vibration, Tanis made a short run as well as a couple of others. I know how hard it is to announce and for people to hear the times. You are right we are spoiled. Jon W., Jon A. & the rat , Debbie and others are doing their best. I might have to get a job so I can just go to all of the meets next year.

If you can get me a job, I can guarantee that you could also get a job just fixing the mistakes I make.

Seems good for both of us. Doris and Carol would second the idea.

Think of what it would be like for them to have peace and silence in the house while we were gone.

I have contemplated assigning my SSI checks to Doris. With no income, I could apply for welfare and use the

debit cards they supply to stay at the casino, eat at the casino and ride the casino shuttle to the event.

Is there any fallacy in that scenario?

Ray, Google that arrangement and see if it will work.
