Okay -- here it is -- the first and best and only (!) thread for this year's World of Speed.

First of all -- it's about 3PM on Tuesday, inspection day, and I got shanghaied into dsoing some inspecting -- and that's why this first update is tardy.  Good enough excuse?

Photos taken from the inspection area:

And that's it for now.  Gotta take our bike to the fuel truck -- Rick is closing in 45 minutes and we're rarin' to go racing in the morning.  I'll get some more photos for you later.

Jon,
Wow!  What fun to see those pics fresh from the salt.  Those of us stuck in the East working are drooling.  I better get my napkin and then back to work again (not at the salt mine though) so I can go to Maxton in 11 days.
Thanks again.

313 is a Datsun  B210 comp coupe built by Gene and Tom Burkland. Very fast back then. Still a good looking car

Jon thanks, your off to a great start with some great pictures. We really enjoy them. Jon If you get close to the 2909 high boy roadster tell Butch, Rick said his car looks great on the salt. That will blow his mind trying to figure that out.
