You notice the Lockheed-Martin sponsorship on the wheels? We use an actual Lockheed F-104 but they
Lockheed won't give us the time of day.

I thought they changed the design over a year ago where the rocket was relocated above the jet engine??? Are these just really old pics?

Original design was rocket over jet, but the latest and final arrangement (CFD Iteration 10) is the jet over rocket.  Pictures of the ful size mock up are brand new, as the complete car shape was only completed in time for the Farnborough Air Show.

The sponsorship arrangements are down to Richard Noble, who after years of experience can command support from the likes of STP, Lockheed Martin, HM Government etc....

Yup, thats me! I've made 30 test runs so far. We've run at a local airport, at El Mirage, at Edwards AFB
and Blackrock Desert. Fastest test run is 400. We're scheduling ourselves in October to run to Mach .85
which is about 560 MPH. If the aerodynamics team says we can go faster, safely, we'll step it up.

Raptor,

Calm down my friend. The owner did not store them on this server. A user has loaded the pictures. THis is a non profit website and sport with all one thing in common, speed. There is no value ($$$$) being made on posting of the pictures other than for public appearence. If they are really bothering you im sure we can find others to post. Most of us are racers who spend money like crazy just to go fast with no return. I'm sorry you feel the way you do. Give us a break, and enjoy the webiste about speed.

Thanks for the diplomatic reply Jon. When I saw the post earlier I was tempted to fire off a rather blunt reaction. I hope the photographer will understand the situation and back off from his rather inflammatory attitude.

Actually that photo is a direct link to your post here:

http://www.ridelust.com/could-a-fighter-plane-sans-wings-be-the-next-lsr-holder/

Which should have been mentioned in the post above where the image was presented, as fair use of a public domain image.
I am sure a polite request for proper credit would have been a much better way to introduce yourself to the members here and maybe even drive traffic to your other web posts.
