B77 ... Eric Bennett .. Balls Out Racing / Bennetts Performance / S&S Cycles ... 3000cc APS PG on Intl course ... beautiful machine ... 128.730
Great job of relaying the action Joe - One short note about the 77 Bike - It actually was built and owned by John Yeats and his bride Dexter, and has Eric Bennett at the helm. I think they blew the trans  resulting in that mph number.  I hope I upload the picture of the threesome properly.  Iam still a bit of a cyber Neanderthal.  Had a great time at the BUB meet this year and was glad I had a chance to meet you and chat while in pre stage.

Bub results . . .

Quote
2010 results to be posted soon...... Iv'e had to rebuild my database and reimport the timing data after a computer issue. I hope to have the results, and soon after the tentaive AMA records posted early next week (13-17th Sept). I apologize for any inconvininece this may cause and will notify the mailing list once the data is here.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

While stranded at the Montego I discovered that the new second floor (east) wing has a couple of tables by the door that are right by the router for their wi-fi. I was able to log on easily and had a solid signal on my MacBook Pro. Just go up the stairs to the right of the front doors and look right inside the doors to your left to find it.

Seems like it's always something...  At least the line cutting was kept at a minimum this year. Only one cronic abuser that I saw..

She cut in line 3 times??  Did she leave a vehicle parked in the staging lane while the race bike was being worked on or did she just mosey on in?

Two times I saw it someone  just drove past everyone right to the front of the line. The third time I didn't see the truck drive up. All times the truck appeared it was parked outside the normal line. Every time we got in line they wanted to know if my bike was with me. That told me there was no saving a place in line.

Larry,
You have to remember she runs the long course and I never saw a line waiting for the long course. Every bike that was running the long course would just be waved right through and sent to the starting line.  Now if she was given preference to go to the short course then we have a problem but I never saw Leslie running the short course?

Did you see her cut in line to go to the short course?  Or was it for the long course?

It is not so secret secret that if you want to get the most runs in  at Bubs you need a bike that can go over 175mph so you can use the long course.

Agreed she would be running the long course but the truck with her bikes always pulled alongside the short course line. The long course line was on the other side of pre-staging.

If I am not mistaken I believe they told everyone to only use the one line after about  the 2nd day.   I know this happened with the 2 short course lines for ridden bikes.   On day 1  you could pick either mtn or Intl course for bikes that were ridden to the starting lines.  But on Tuesday I think it was they only had 1 line for the short course and the workers decided which course you would be sent to.  I believe it  was AMA Ken who implemeted this rule.  I did not see any towed bikes using the other side to go to long course after the first day or so.   Everybody came around on the left side.  And even if they were supposed tto go to the other side what does it matter?   She was not cutting in front of other bikes waiting to go to the long course.  Short course bikes are an entirely different list.

We both need bikes that can go faster than 175 mph so we can go long course!!!
