Someone probably mentioned this already, But a camera down at the finish line that links to a big screen at the starting line!! that would be awesome!

Maybe a 3 day event ?    The place is sure capable of handling a larger event. They also had a large group of volunteers, seems like it may be doable.

Either a slightly higher entry fee for the 3 days (maybe $160) or a two tiered fee for a 2 or 3 day track ticket ??

Tech on Thursday/Friday  runs on  Friday 8am to 6pm.  Sat 8am to 6pm and Sunday 8am to 4pm.

If it gets much bigger it might take three days to get all your runs in.

Well then since it is such a long haul for everyone, why not everybody take a full weeks vacation and make it a 4 or 5 day event..

hmm,,,, Speed Week East !!!

LTA presents Speed Week East.... Be There, Be There, Be There...  Has a good ring to it !!!!

Tech Opens Sunday or Monday  (give us all the weekend to travel up there)
Runs on Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri. Sat.  (with that many days should be no problem to get in runs, some will come and go early, some will arrive late)  only downside is not knowing how many paying spectators would come out on the weekdays.

Oh well just thinking out loud...

More than 2 days sounds great! It would make the 1600+ mile drive a little more bearable

IDEAS..
Lots of constructive suggestions here, Thank You All.
"Three days"..
We had over 500 runs in two days this year, everybody had ample opps to do their  thing.  Better we tighten up our schedule for more runs in two days.
Tech Friday noon to 5 ish, Saturday until 1pm. Then all our volunteers get to run there own vehicles . AND, they get fast laned in staging to make up for the time they spent volunteering their time.
Sched ;Friday, Tech Noon to 5pm, Saturday Tech 9 to 1 pm, 9am Drivers Meeting, 930 am Rookie orientation meet /drive thru, racing starts no later than 10 am Saturday, run until 6 pm.
Sunday, race 8 am to 4 pm, period. That's 16 hours total of racing, only differentiation to lengthening will be at the LTA discretion due to either weather or extra delays from race slow downs in general.
TOURS.. we need a tour guide, a vehicle, and enough interest to do this. There is obviously a Nuke storage bunker area, a "wildlife refuge" , and a general tour of the base that is probably interesting,. If we find a guide and a bus, free, it will happen.
As far as a Jumbotron in the staging area, we ain't either Yankee Stadium or even teeny Fenway HatBox park, but we will find options to enlighten the throngs in the staging
 areas
Concerts ?.. We do have options to access  these monster hangars, and will consider extra curricular entertainment.
I really appreciate all these ideas, keep 'em coming, please.
But remember, we are a group of LSR types interested mainly in LSR, let's not lose focus.
If a diversion is necessary, like if you brought Honey  and The Spawn, consider the Northern Maine State Fair or whatever else is going on locally.
We are still  very young, let's  grow comfortably.
Safety and Comfort, those are the key words, and this is not a business, it's an Association of like minded enthusiasts enjoying an opportunity to do LSR in the North East USA.

It would be neat to have night entertainment for the racers etc.
