1952 Vincent Black Lightning (in song)

Though this song was written on another shore, people around my neck of the woods like this kind of pickin' too.

What the heck, it's a song about motorcycles, what's not to like.  :-D
Hope you enjoy.

I just saw the Del McCoury Band band at Summerfest about a month ago.  This song always chokes me up, and while it's a Richard Thompson song, Del and the boys bring a whole new Southern vibe to it.

Great song - one of my top picks.

Check out the Emmylou Harris song "Red Staggerwing."  All kinds of motoring references including a Vincent Rapide.

Ah - Richard Thompson, a national treasure for sure. Here's another of my favourite car/bike tracks. Jo Dee Messina, Silver Thunderbird

You sir, are a man of considerable taste  :-D  I lived around 15 miles from the Vincent factory when I was a kid and used to cycle there to press my nose on a window that always had one or two on display.
