My father and his partner held the land speed record for a modified harley davidsion, in a bullet shell, one of the first.  The year was 1959 The bike was call the brute, cb clausen and bud hood were owners.  I am not sure who the driver was, but the record was 252 or some where around there.  Is there any archive records available online for those records.  I have some old photographs and wanted to paint the pictures with the historical informaiton.

I have a copy of the 1958 & 59 & 60 results from speed week. The motorcycles were not listed. Earl Flanders was doing the motor cycles at that time. Jack Dolan would be your best bet to contact regarding the bikes.

My father Derby Frank was the lead mechanic on "The Brute" in 1959. He got that beast to run 224mph. I got the pictures and advertisements about it to match.

According to info I found, The Brute ran 224 one-way in 1958 but did not set a record. The rider was Jimmy Hunter. YMMV.
