Getting around the track

Newbie question. I don't know how things are laid out, but it is a big track. Are you allowed to use scooters or dirt bikes for getting around, not for racing?

Sure. There are some areas that are off-limits, but around the pits you are welcome to (sanely, slowly) use pit bikes.

The pits are real close to the starting line and the registration area is a very short walk so there really isn't much use for the pit bike unless they are opening a spectating section further down the track which I haven't heard about. I was thinking the only way to do that would be via shuttle anyways.

We're bringing 3 pit bikes & I'm confident that won't be enough. I have to disagree with Milton tho, walking from the start line to the impound area is pretty far especially when you're in a hurry & trying to meet your racers for celebrations & good times!
(not to mention that last minute run to the portapot
)

"impound area"?
Dave Cover, asking the newbie questions so you don't have to.

I just never had anyone come meet me in impound
That is where you park to get records certified for the newbies
My truck had a junction box for the radiator hoses fail as I returned home from work today so my planned 6am departure is probably delayed by about 4 hours. So much for turning in at a decent hour this time heading up. Could have been much worse if it went on the road though.
