How low is too low

Right now the exhaust would be 1" off the salt, I expect lift untill I pull the chute, not sure what would happen then, GT class, heavy car.
What are the horror stories regarding upsetting the car by bottoming out?

Those who prep the track wouldn't be happy which could lead to difficulties in all sorts of different areas.

We had the exhaust a little over an inch.... was real hard on the header wrap
