Good Idea
I'm going that way after having many discussions with tire engineers and wheel engineers/manufacturers.
Bead locks, both sides.
I don't have resources to do it myself, but at anything 250+ I will have them.....
The real estate is claimed, to accommodate the extra width.
Goodyear tires 26 inch drive tires and 21 inch front.

Thanks Tony for getting back to me. Goodyear recommends about 70 psi for their LSR tire. However, you are thinking of over-pressuring them 70%-80%? I wish I knew much more about this. I don’t have 1/10 the resources or contacts you have. I know the Company would not put anything in writing but evidently you have enough unofficial good information from the engineers to  make that decision. I think I understand the reason for the over-pressure but do you care to add anything more to this subject.

Jack, both sides or on one side? What brand rims?  Thanx . .  :-)

Tim Cunha told me both sides on 8080. He is easy to get in touch with, as is Jack. Shoot me a PM.

lots of tires safe for 175-300 range... you should be more concerned with the wheel..... you can put a blower on any motor but if you don't put good rods in it she'd done.... same as your wheels... you put LSR tires at 75lbs pressure on spun aluminum welded up rims and yer gonna have problems... the inner safety bead is what you need to study
kent

And what kind of problems do you think people will see?

All tires at high speed grow and can allow the beads to suck in,when this happens and the vehicle gets side ways the tire can roll off the rim.
Good idea for bead locks.

I think a typical bulgie sidewall that is on a "Bonneville" tire with a narrow rim is ideal, and a bead lock is not any advantage. I built bead locks for 1.75 X 17 front runners (now illegal). they have straight sides, and pull away from the wheel flange at speed! I think that tire would have worked good in that application.
Google bead locks. I think the name is Champion Wheel
