Was that the same Roger Huntington that said a wheel-driven vehicle could not attain a terminal speed of over 144 mph in the quarter mile?

Research is the difference between speculation and investment.

Clearly this FR, by the wild posts on this and other sites, has a party going on in his head that only he is invited to.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.  But in practice, there is.--Jan L. A. Van de Snepscheut

Hey guys be civil . Frank has a lot of knowledge . There are things to learn from somebody directly involved and things to learn from somebody with more perspective . Picture somebody in 1950 saying your streamliner front wheels should be in line and the rears should be 24 inches apart .

Stan
Roger Huntington was a very smart guy . The person who said you can't go over 144 mph in a quater mile was just saying with X traction you'll go Y fast .

A lot more people can figure out WHY after a very few have figured out HOW.
The WHY people think they lead the pack, but the HOW people spend less time thinking and more time doing.
I like to spend more time with the HOW people.
But the ones you gotta at least keep an eye on are the "WHY NOT" types because they are out there and you can learn from them also.

A geat statement! Egos run rampant it seems. I would rather be doing than talking about it. A quote I like is..."It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit."

I don't understand..."It won't work!"

There are two ways to set records
  (1) -Do what the other guy does but do it better (the how person)
  (2) -Find a better way of doing it (the why person who finds how )
