Don't know much about streamliners but we are bringin a couple of fairly fast roadsters this year. Word has it that there should be 4 or 5 blown fuel roadsters going for the 300 mark. My favorite would be Bob Eaton, he has been working at it for some time. Unfortunatly, the BMR C/FR is rumered to be not gonna make the trip due to a small window in their block after Elmo last weekend. Thats to bad as I think they could have done it with no blower even. If you love nitro and roadsters, this should be a good year.
I also hear that the coarse will be really good. thanks to ma nature and all the good old boys that take the time to go out and set up and drag the tracks for us, I love those guys ( and gals?)
See ya on the salt!!!!!!!!!!!

Every year has its own marquee battle and the Fuel Roadster war was definitely the show in 2009. It definitely appears we'll have an encore performance this year.

I know that Lynda, in a way, will really like reviewing this.  It's been three years, but it's still a most memorable goat whatever.

Thanks Stan!!

Truly one of my favorites...the other one was the Cadillac trailer that got stuck in the pothole...."He knows how to drive and doesn't need anybody telling him where to go in the water at Land's End!!"  Which of course is what started that whole event filled day!   evil

So, just as a reminder, if I say don't go that way......don't!   rolleyes  Unless, of course, you want to be the joke of the week!!

So....... should I not post any dyno videos until after the voting comes to an end.  I wouldn't want to tant any votes.  JK, can't wait to hear some of the big boys running down the salt. grin grin
Been back on the dyno lately?  Did the dyno shop survive the onslaught? Can't wait to see you run again.

Bret, do u think the Kilo Klub will relocate closer to the mountains?

Maybe the officials can leave the "spin pins" with you and save themselves a trip.

Actually the fastest car last year run under SCTA format was "Spirit of Rett" at World Finals with an exit speed of 402.955. The Speed Demon ran an exit speed of 401.285 at Speed Week.

My money is on Spirit of Rett, this year it is entered as a A/BFS. Last year it ran AA/FS at World Finals. Looks like they added a blower this year. It is my pick for the Hot Rod Trophy this year.  cheers

Tom G.

It looks like Nearburg is bringing another 600hp this year:

I think that might be a good pick.  We are taking the motor off the Dyno today for #7796 Lakester.

I'm still awaiting the first entries for the "Fastest car/bike at Speedweek".  You'll find the contest information and preset response form -- by following the link that's on the right hand side of the home page of this website.

Enter -- there are five categories, and the winner of each (one prize per entrant) will win a Bonneville DVD, courtesy of landracing.com and the four producers of the various DVDs.

The rules are at the contest page, too.  I look forward to hearing from you folks.
