More photos from El Mirage
« on: July 14, 2010, 01:15:09 AM »
Wow, that was way more awesome than I even thought it was going to be!
Thanks to everyone for letting me shoot their cars, directing me on where to go and generally being a very friendly group of people to a newbie!

I've edited my photos and put them up on my website here:

Hope you all like them!

Which route did you end up taking to get to El Mirage? Highway 14 or Interstate 15. Did you have any problems finding the entrance?

The one photo of Butch is awesome. Can I get a copy of that? I want to give it to Butch. It is such a great shot.

Nice photos Gwen. I enjoyed your excitement in the morning when you first arrive. I sense you didn't lose your enthusiasm.

For some reason, I especially like the last one!

John - Cool bike! I've been telling everyone we saw a motorcycle go 252 mph, the looks on their faces are priceless.

Hey Tom - I ended up taking both routes. 15 there and 14 back. 14 was much more interesting and actually seemed faster but who knows I'd been up for over 24 hours at that point!

DW- I was so excited. I really love car stuff and don't get out to do it as much as I should. Well that and everyone was so friendly. I definitely wasn't sure what to expect.

roadsterswap - I could absolutely get you a print to give to Butch, he was one of our favorites! His "I rule" hat was the best. [email me!]

Thanks everyone and if any of you are in the LA metro I'd love to shoot you and your rides! Hope to see you all again soon.
Feel free to email me!

Gwen,

Thanks and if you come out to El Mo again please look us up and introduce yourself, if you need a place to stay we have a rather accomodating rig (36') and if you have any other pictures of Michelle or I please let me know.

Take care and welcome to LR.com

Gwen,

Glad you found El Mirage OK. I personally take 14 as I live in the SF Valley. If you go again, take 14 to Pearblossom  Hwy. That way you don't have all those signals to go through on Palmdale Blvd. Thanks for the link to you photos. Glad you enjoyed yourself.
