El Mirage Car Mins for 2010

AH HAH!!  there it is.   Right you are Glen (as usual ) 

What threw me off is that the El Mirage menu has a choice for 'Car Speed Minimums' and if you click on that you get a copy of last years mins.

Being new to this sport, and only having attended one event so far, could someone please explain what this chart is for?  Iwas hoping I wouldn't have to ask, but I am unable to find a description.    Thanks.

At El Mirage we run for points which determines the next meets line up position. Your points are based on what percentage of your class record you run. If you are running in a class where no record has been established the SCTA has set a Minimum that you run against. If you exceed that minimum your speed becomes the new record.

Thanks, that makes a lot of since.  This will be helpful in deciding what class I want to build a car for, maybe get my name in the record book, at least for a little while.
