I think it must be flat black that is faster.I tried shinny black and it was definitely slower than yellow . But Charles is always fast and uses flat black .

Eric, my colors are not quite flat black,,,, more correctly it's satin black.  Flat black is a... well flat,,, LOL

My Stude is still drying,,, the satin black was laid down just before noon today,,, We will let it cure till Monday and then put the body back on the chassis and start wiring and plumbing.

It will be a stretch to make Maxton this month but we will try.

Terry,

Great news!  All the best to Lawson, the Blackbird, you, and everyone associated with it.

Probably be at least Oct before I can get back out on a safari and down to Maxton but will be keeping track of everyone's progress thanks to Jon and the site.

I will be there as a spectator, hoping to get some good information and meet a few of the great people on this board. Just look for the tall fat guy with the straw cowboy hat.

Truck is fueled and new tires are on the trailer  I've been trying to set the fuel map for the turbo, but any WOT runs on the road in front of my house are just too fast to hold very long  :-o Looks like the track will be my dyno this time! I'll be on the road Thursday morning.

Jeff

Don't just spectate, participate! Check down a couple of threads about volunteering- for me it was a lot more educational than just watching.

No problem Joe, we can do it Friday. Save me the usual space beside you, I will be there around noon.

The group leader that hired me is having his retirement luncheon on friday; so it looks like I might miss out on setting cones and weed-eating (is that when you eat the whole bag of potato chips?) but I'll cry later. How late does tech inspection go on friday?
