What I did at Maxton
« on: May 04, 2010, 07:24:29 PM »
Well, the Truck set 2 records. Both at 137 MPH and change. one for F/BMMP and one fro E/BMMP.
You can run a smaller engine against a bigger engine record at Maxton (for the SCTA Folk).

    FYI, Mines a 4G64 2.4 L Mitsubishi.

    anyway here's the carnage.

    The Fidanza Flywheel

    The Clutch Disk

The Pressure Plate, think it got hot?

I'm pretty sure the clutch was slipping...

engine on the stand, tranny on the floor, waiting on parts. It will go faster... what's new with you?

So other than that, how's the clutch?  Maybe the throw out bearing is salvageable?  When you take one out you really do it up.  Maybe I'll stick with the TH350.

Good luck on getting it back together - and hopefully, soon.

Can't afford a Tilton right now, got a line on a Quartermaster twin disc. May Meet is in jeopardy.

May meet in jeopardy, that was funny, how about the June meet...
latest response from the supplier as of yesterday....

Good news! Everything is being shipped (from Quartermaster) today!

I should see it Thursday, and depending on the time it gets here, I will try to have it back out that afternoon. The latest would be Friday.

which means i get it sometime next week? while I'm in Michigan all week (work) looks like i won't see the track until September now...

short word that rhymes with fire truck.

Look what showed up yesterday

Gonna have to start believing in the Tooth Fairy again...

Of course, no time to get it in and get to Maxton in time to race this weekend.

Y'all have fun now, ya hear...

Mike - Glad Santa finally found you.  I'll look forward to seeing the little truck back on the track - with trans hooked to engine.

See you (hopefully) in September.
